TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read these Terms and Conditions before registering as a student or making use of any of our services, including course material, Google classrooms, tutors or any other electronic services.

These terms are legally binding agreements between us. By registering on our platform, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms.

If you are under the age of 18 years you must be assisted by and have the consent of your parent or legal guardian. By registering you confirm that you have been assisted by your parent/guardian and they have consented to your registration on the site and payment for the courses.

We may change these terms from time to time, but will duly inform you should it happen.

Enrolling on ISWB Digital

Once you have registered on the platform, the student will be invited to join a Google Classroom set up by the tutor. All worksheets, videos, voice overs, assignments and projects will be published in Google Classroom. Students will submit their work via this platform. The course is divided into 10 months (36 weeks).

The tutor may give access to parents/guardians to join the Classroom. However, this will be restricted for observation purposes only, and only with consent of the tutor.

Monthly reports will be provided by the Head of Admin informing parents/guardians of the student’s progress.

When you register on ISWB Digital, you will be required to provide the following information:

  • Full names;
  • Cell phone number;
  • Email address

You will be invited by your tutor to join a Google Classroom for each subject you enrolled for. You will also be added to a WhatsApp group. Should the student not have access to a cell phone, the parent/guardian will be added to the group.

The information you provide must be accurate and complete. You may not impersonate anyone else, choose offensive names or violate anyone’s rights.

By registering, and providing your email account, you confirm that you have the consent of your parent/guardian to do so. You will be invited to join your Classrooms once the registration fee and first instalment have been paid.

Fees and payment

Once you completed the online registration form, you will receive a confirmation email, stating your course and the subjects you have chosen. Once you responded, you will be mailed an invoice. You have three options of payment: once off; two instalments; three instalments.

Once you have paid registration, you have one month to cancel your course. However, you will be liable to pay the first four months in full. No cancellation will be accepted after four months. The client will be held accountable for the entire payment.

Our fees exclude textbooks, and the external exam cost. However, all internal exams are included in the price. Please note that all external exams must be written at the ISWB exam centre.

If payment is not received as agreed, you will be removed from the Classroom.

Courses

All courses are conducted on Google Classroom and are selected online.

You will receive an invite to each subject Classroom after payment has been received. Classes commence on 18 January 2022.

Students are assisted to help make the right choice. They are also advised on how to make subject choices that will allow them a valid school leaver’s certificate, as well as guidance to which course to follow for exemption to university. However, the final decision is the responsibility of the student and parent/guardian.

Google Classroom

All work will be provided on a weekly basis via Google Classroom. It is imperative that you stick to due dates. If you cannot adhere to the prescribed time, it is your responsibility to communicate this to the tutor. Should you ignore due dates, you could forfeit the marks for that worksheet/assignment.

You will receive feedback, weekly if necessary, in the form of a video, voice note, written, or any other means the tutor deems useful. Monthly reports documenting your progress, will be mailed to your parents.

One Zoom lesson will be scheduled per subject per week. This will be in a set time slot and the tutor will communicate the procedures of the lesson to you.

Examinations

At least one internal exam will be conducted per year. This exam can be written either at the ISWB exam centre, at a registered tutor centre or online. This exam will be set and marked by the tutor. The student will receive a report at the end of each term.

Students who are enrolled for IGCSE (2) and AS/A levels, will write a CIE examination at ISWB. These exams can be written in May/June or October/November (excluding certain subjects as prescribed by Cambridge).

E-Safety Procedure

You agree not to:

  • provide access to anyone on any of your Classrooms, any content or any materials therein for any reason whatsoever.
  • be dishonest, by any means, in relation to any work assigned or any materials required for submission. This includes plagiarism or requiring a third party to assist or guide you.
  • copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute any material you receive on the Classroom. Please note further that deep-linking, embedding or using analogous technology is strictly prohibited.
  • use any student profile in a manner that could harm or affect the student negatively.
  • use ISWB Digital for harmful, unlawful or illegal purposes, including impersonating any other person or use a fake or unauthorised name to create a false identity or a false e-mail address.

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and codes of conduct required by ISWB Digital. You also agree not to post any content or material provided on ISWB Digital and Google Classroom.

Code of Conduct

This serves as a legally binding agreement whereto you agree to use our services on our terms. If you should break this agreement we have the right to remove you from ISWB Digital and deregister you.

  • You will not let anyone else use your login details or permit them to have access to your Classrooms or and other resources;
  • You will complete all the work on your own and without any assistance from any person or resource (unless you are permitted to do so). You will not provide assistance to anyone else;
  • You will not do anything that could improve your results in a dishonest manner, nor will you assist someone else to be dishonest;
  • Not make any racist, sexist, profane or otherwise hurtful statement in any form whatsoever, including online, via text message or on any social media platforms for any reason whatsoever.

Privacy Policy

In an attempt to provide high quality education, we may provide links to other websites or resources. You acknowledge and agree that ISWB Digital is not responsible for these sites, and we do not necessarily endorse these sites. Therefore, you agree that ISWB Digital cannot be held accountable for any of the privacy practices or the content of such websites. The material accessed from linked sites are not produced by us, therefore it is not our responsibility. Any reference to a linked site does not suggest our endorsement and you take all risk with respect to its use.

Furthermore, you agree that all content on ISWB Digital is our exclusive property and may not distribute it in any form whatsoever.

We also make no representations or warranties of any kind as to operation on ISWB Digital or the information, content, materials included on our platform. You expressly agree that your use of our platform is at your sole discretion and risk.

However, we are committed to protect your privacy. We have taken all reasonable steps to safeguard the information provided by you, but we do not make any warranty that it is absolutely safe and secure. The information you provided will not be used for anything other than what is stated in this policy.
